Starting two years ago with Malvazija 2021, our wine portfolio in 2024 has grown to six labels.
The latest addition is Bastiàn Chardonnay Marchiori 2023, made in the Burgundy style. It is named after the 18th-century Venetian sculptor Giovanni Marchiori, who created the sculpture of Saint Servulus for the church in Buje.
The grapes from the western Istrian location of Cupiga were harvested in two stages. The first part of the harvest was done slightly earlier to preserve freshness and aromatics, while the second was during the regular harvest for body and strength.
As for the fermentation process, the wine was fermented in wood and aged in oak barrels. Bastiàn Chardonnay Marchiori is a vibrant wine with a good body, a creamy texture, and a long finish where mineral notes meet relatively subtle oak.
It pairs best with seafood and fish and is also an excellent choice with veal.
